FAQ

Why don't you ship to my country?

Every country has its wildlife laws that cover the import and export of both living and deceased specimens. And yes, while you can get permits for legal import and export on certain species to certain countries, the substantial cost for them compared to the cost of our work is just not feasible at this time.

That being said, there are many US and UK based artists who offer similar products to our own and we strongly suggest seeking them out and supporting their work.

Is it legal to own animal remains in my province/territory?

Across Canada the laws protecting wildlife vary based on the province/territory you are in. Finding the laws online is not always easy, so the quickest way to get answers on what animal remains are legal to keep/what remains are illegal/what remains will need permits or other licensing is to call your local wildlife enforcement office.

We will not be held responsible for any additional charges, fines, or confiscated items due to your own negligence in these matters.

Do you accept custom orders?

At present we are not currently accepting custom orders.

Do you work on pets?

Due  to the large amount of responsibility and emotional strain that comes with working on pet memorials, we do not process pets in any capacity.

Where do you get your bones?

The animal remains that we use in our work tend to come from a few different sources:

-Roadkill/nature find
-Hunter/trapper/taxidermist scraps
-Pest control/property protection
-Domestic/livestock death

We do not kill animals, let alone kill them for the sole purpose of being used in our art.

We do not support poaching (the illegal hunting and/or trapping of animals), the inhumane treatment or unnecessary killing of animals, or unregulated or illegal slaughter houses (whether they be for fur, leather, meat, or any other animal byproduct).
